Convergence2010
What is Convergence, you ask? Convergence is ASCOT’s annual career fair and networking event! The event is usually held on a Saturday in early spring in the Communication Arts and Sciences Building on the campus of Michigan State University. As a group, we have brainstormed a number of businesses we would like to see at Convergence 2010.
We are trying to make this year’s Convergence better than ever, so we are making some changes to the layout that has been used in past years. Below is a tentative schedule for the 2010 Convergence. This schedule is subject to change, and will be finalized and distributed prior to the event.

| 12:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. | Break-Out & Networking Session |
The event will begin with an Exhibition of Businesses in 147 CAS, which will showcase all of the businesses present for the day. Each company will be given approximately 5 minutes to introduce their business and professional opportunities.
Additionally, each company will be given a topic to speak to for 2-3 minutes immediately following their presentation. These topics will address common career building concerns.
The second half of the event is the Break-Out Session. These two hours of networking will allow attendees to mingle and converse with the companies in attendance. Feel free to bring your resumes and market yourself!
The cost of attendance has yet to be determined. The cost will cover an array of businesses to network with as well as snacks and beverages which will be available throughout the event.
